Every time I see a picture of footprints on a sandy beach, I think of the “Footsteps” poem. But when I took this photo last summer at Presque Isle, it reminded me less of God; rather, it struck me with the realization of how far I’ve come, and how far I have yet to go. And along with the acknowledgement of what’s ahead, looking back gave me the strength to move on. If I made it this far, I can certainly handle whatever is down the road. Bring it on!
